PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Buganda is at
a slow pace towards development. The
basic social infrastructure has broken down over time. A cross section of the people has bad
anti-work ethics. People work for very
limited time yet expect to meet the basic necessities of life. This has kept them in abject poverty and
poor living conditions. To catalyze rural development therefore, the program
will create awareness, guide in developmental activities, advise, train and
support all efforts directed towards community social development.

PROJECT
OBJECTIVES
Advocacy for
Community Development Project (ACOD) has the following objectives:
(a) To advocate
for a fundamental change in work attitude as a mechanism for social
development.
(b) To set up a
mechanism of information dissemination that helps in community development from
household to the community level.
(c) To disseminate
knowledge and positive social and ethical values that can create amplified work
discipline on the social arena in the community.
(d) In liaison
with local government establishment, to enforce developmental coercion to
sustain development.
(e) To train the
local people to improve on the exploitation of natural resources, improved land
management systems as well as good time management.
(f) Promote
ethical living amongst the population.
8.
OUTPUTS
A well-informed populace in all aspects of social
development.
A well laid out and clear information dissemination
mechanism.
A population that can optimally utilise the available
natural resources, that can efficiently manage their land as well as their
limited time.
A population that is hard working.
A community with upright moral and ethical conduct.

BENEFICIARIES: All people in the Buganda
Kingdom.
